Mounds View City Council October 26, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />`ayor McCarty asked Police Chief Grabowski <br />ae timing of the vehicle purchases for 1982. <br />Police Chief Grabowski replied that they have <br />started working on the specs. Clerk /Administra- <br />tor Pauley added that bids will be submitted in <br />December. <br />Chief Grabowski made a presentation to the <br />Council of caps carrying the name of the Mounds <br />View Police Department. <br />Official Rose reported that year -to -date permit <br />applications are 223, ahead of 216 from last year, <br />with 11 housing permits being applied for, versus <br />six from the previous year. He added that Mary <br />Anderson Homes hopes to get their models in yet <br />this year. <br />Official Rose reported 123 housing inspections had <br />been done, with 99 reinspections, with the Inspec- <br />tions Department being in all but 5 of the 117 <br />rental buildings, with those being scheduled for <br />next month. <br />Official Rose reported that the Planning Commission <br />--'s meeting every Wednesday and hope to make a pre <br />entation to the Council by the end of the year on <br />their review. He added that the MWCC is satisfied <br />with the information they have received on the <br />Comprehensive Plan, and the Planning Commission is <br />in the process of reviewing that also. <br />Official Rose reported that the Kraus /Anderson <br />project hopes to finish excavation yet this year. <br />He added that he had met with representatives of <br />Kraus /Anderson and Health Central and they hope <br />to start their elderly housing in March, with a <br />summer of 1982 completion. He added he has <br />received a number of phone calls asking when the <br />housing will be available, and plans on putting <br />an article in the newsletter and paper advising <br />residents when Health Central will begin taking <br />applications. <br />Mayor McCarty asked the status of Bayport Acres. <br />Official Rose replied that they have built their <br />retention basin and control structures, and built <br />one house, which has not yet sold. <br />Public Works Superintendent Decheine reported that <br />they had completed flushing all the City water mains <br />id pumping the hydrants. He reported there had <br />.en a water main break at Jackson and Bronson and <br />presented pictures of the damage.
