Mounds View City Council November 9, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />plained the bid process and interest rates. <br />Councilmember Doty asked that Item G be removed 6. Approval of <br />for discussion. Consent Agenda <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to approve the <br />consent agenda, minus Item G, and waive the <br />reading of the resolutions. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Doty asked that Item G specify <br />that the City is only asking for bids and not <br />actually making a purchase of equipment. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley replied that the bid specs <br />do specify that. He added that the City will <br />hopefully have a better idea of the financial <br />situation by the time the bids are opened. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to approve Item <br />G of the consent agenda for the mower with <br />attachments and the turf vacuum. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />mark, Recreation and Forestry Director <br />Anderson reported that Silver Lake Woods Park <br />has been changing daily, with the grading being <br />95 percent complete, with the irrigation system, <br />sodding of two ball fields, fence, backstops and <br />parking lot to be put in soon. He added that <br />seeding may have to wait until spring, but they <br />are still hoping to get it done this fall. He <br />reported that the pond is half finished, with the <br />total project to date being $12,000 below budget. <br />Park Director Anderson reported that one of the <br />old warming houses has been donated to the Frontier <br />Club with the other buildings being available to <br />the public. He reported that temporary trailers <br />have been reserved for use this winter, and he <br />would be meeting later in the evening with the <br />Jaycees to finalize construction plans for the <br />warming house to be built. <br />Park Director Anderson reported that a new ordinance <br />has been established, specifying rules and regula- <br />tions on use of the parks. <br />ark Director Anderson reported that the Park <br />)mmission has been working with Staff in writing <br />a memorandum of understanding for coaches, outlining <br />policy decisions and guidelines. <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
