Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Motion /Second: Forslund /Doty to grant authority <br />for the City to enter into a contract with SOS <br />Office Equipment at $49.00 per machine for <br />$343.00 per year. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to delay Item A <br />from the Consent Agenda until the Administrator's <br />report. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty recommended taking a second look <br />at closing the Greenfield Park warming house, Item <br />E on the Consent Agenda, since a good deal of <br />money had been put into it, and it serves a large <br />group of people. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that the <br />lights will be left on, but there would be no <br />Staff or warming house. He added that Park <br />Director Anderson did not feel it would have a <br />major impact as there is a hockey rink a few <br />blocks away, which does have a warming house. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table Item E <br />until such time as they can discuss it with <br />Park Director Anderson. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty stated that on at least two <br />occasions, the City has rejected the proposal <br />that the Oak Lake Park pond service an <br />area which extends beyond the boundry of <br />the development itself. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table the <br />storm water drainage plan for the Kraus /Anderson <br />development until such time as a clear area of <br />benefit can be established by a hydrologist. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Sunde presented a letter to the Council, <br />in explanation of the plans he had previously <br />submitted. He stated that they are meeting <br />and exceeding the minimum ponding requirements. <br />Mayor McCarty pointed out that the Short, <br />Elliot, Hendrickson report of 1976 which Mr. <br />Sunde had referred to had not been accepted <br />by the City, and that they want the pond to <br />be within the boundries of this development <br />only, and that they will deal with e7ch <br />December 2R 1981 <br />Page Two <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
