Mounds View City Council January 11, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />Councilmember Doty reported he had not been <br />observing conformance to the lighting policy <br />for the warming houses. Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley replied he would check into it. <br />Mayor McCarty asked that a letter of recognition <br />be sent to the City of Circle Pines, thanking <br />them for their support of Mounds View in the <br />airport issue. <br />Mayor McCarty stated there were several open- <br />ings on varioub commissions that should be filled. <br />Motion /Second: Forslund /Hodges to appoint Russell <br />Warren, Patricia Koffee and Cindy Wermager to three <br />year appointments on the Festivities Commission, <br />and Dorothy Wilhaus to a one year term. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Doty to appoint Lowell <br />Uber to the Police Civil Service Commission. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Forslund /Doty to reappoint <br />Josey Warren, Jean Miller and Ken Breske to <br />the Planning Commission for three year terms. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty stated they would advertise for <br />the opening on the Park Commission, as well <br />as call applicants from previous years. <br />Mayor McCarty stated he would like to recognize <br />the efforts and good work done by City <br />Attorney Meyers. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated they would <br />review which committees the Council members <br />were liasons for at the next agenda session. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported that <br />Art Holm, of the maintenance department, <br />had suffered a sever coronary attack on <br />January S, and once he is out of ICU. the <br />City will send flowers. He advised the <br />Council he would keep them updated on <br />his condition. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked which of <br />the Council members was planning on attend- <br />ing the League of Cities meeting.
