Mounds View City Council January 11, 1982
Regular Meeting Page Two
ing of the resolutions.
5 ayes 0 nays
Councilmember Forslund read from
the September 24, 1981 minutes of the Park
and Rec Commission concerning the motion
that was made and approved to continue the
Greenfield Park rink. Clerk /Administrator
Pauley explained that he had been informed
by the Park and Rec Director that, due to
the urgency of the issue and the timing of
the meetings, the recommendation to close the
Greenfield Park rink came from Staff without
going before the Park Commission.
Mayor McCarty stated that while there would
be a $4.000 savings by closing the Greenfield
Park rink, $1,800 would be from the general
fund, and $2,200 from revenue sharing, and
the savings would be minimal.
Motion /Second: Forslund /McCarty to order
an 8x24' warming house for Greenfield Park.
5 ayes 0 nays
Motion /Second: Forslund /Hodges to amend
the previous motion to include the September
24, 1981 minutes of the Park and Rec
Commission.
5 ayes 0 nays
Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and
opened the public hearing for Mary Anderson
Homes at 7:49 PM.
Fred Haas, of Mary Anderson Homes, stated that
while the Planning Commission had approved only
one curb cut, they would still like two for
the lot in question, mainly because of the
number of oak trees they would be able to save
if they put in a horseshoe drive, versus a
turn around, and that it would be more
esthetically pleasing.
Attorney Meyers stated that Silver Lake Road
is a County road, and the County does have
jurisdiction over it, and would require a
permit for two curb cuts. He added that
County ordinances do not overrule City ordinances.
but they can be more restrictive.
Motion Carried
5A.
