Mounds View City Council January 11, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />Councilmember Hodges stated he had observed several <br />close accidents from people backing out onto Silver <br />Lake Road, and felt a horseshoe drive would be safer. <br />Mayor McCarty expressed concern with setting a <br />precedence if the Council granted a variance for the <br />two curb cuts. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:02 PM. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to approve the request <br />from Marvin H. Anderson Construction Co. for the <br />home at 7501 Silver Lake Road, contingent upon <br />conformance to Resolution No. 43 -81 from the <br />Planning Commission. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the public hearing for Standard Oil <br />at 8:03 PM. <br />Ray Duggan, an engineer with Standard Oil, <br />stated they would like Council approval so <br />they can begin work once the weather warms up. <br />Official Rose recommended that Council direct <br />Staff to draft the necessary development agree- <br />ment, as well as a resolution, to be approved <br />at a later meeting. He added that Staff has <br />received a preliminary of the working drawings. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and <br />reopened the regular meeting at 8:06 PM. <br />Motion /Second: Hodges /Blanchard to approve <br />the proposal for Standard Oil Company and <br />direct Staff to draw up a development <br />agreement, to include the site plan and plans <br />and specs, and include Resolution No. 38 -81. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty asked that Item 7 on the agenda, <br />1982 Budget Reductions, be left until later <br />in the meeting; the Council concurred. <br />Motion Carried <br />5B.
