Mounds View City Council January 25, 1981 Regular Meeting Page Four There was no report from the Building and Zoning Official due to his absence. City Attorney Meyers requested a meeting with the Council at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 1982, to discuss matters of litigation. The Councilmembers agreed that they would be available for this meeting. City Attorney Meyers presented a letter he had received from the General Counsel of the Metropolitan Council in accordance with the directive of Judge Maxwell as a result of the City's recent request for a tem- porary restraining order on the installa- tion of an ILS system at the Anoka County Airport. Spring Lake Park City Councilmembers John Conde and Roger Coulthart appeared before the Mounds View City Council to discuss the possible signalization of the intersection of Pleasant View Drive and Highway 10. Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the history of this issue and the proposals presently before the City which were pre- pared by the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Councilmember Doty stated that he was not prepared to vote on the issue as he had not been involved in previous discussions on the matter in past years and would prefer to discuss the issue in detail during an Agenda Session and, perhaps, at a Special Meeting with the Spring Lake Park City Council. Councilmember Fcrslund stated that she agreed with Councilmember Doty's position and felt that Pleasant View Drive is a residential street and should be protected from he;,iy traffic which might result from this type of realignment. Councilmember Blanchard reviewed the history of the issue as far as her past participation in the Planning Commission was concerned, including proposals previously considered by 10.
