Mounds View City Council January 25, 1982 Regular Meeting Page Five both cities and stated her opposition to the proposals presently before the City. Mayor McCarty reviewed previous actions of the City Council by adopting Layout No. 5 and discussed various drainage problems being experienced by the City of Mounds View as the result of action taken by property owners in Spring Lake Park. He also voiced objection to the statement in the letter from Spring Lake Park's Clerk- Treasurer asserting that the City of Mounds View had not been cooperative in entering into agreements on this project. Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to reject Layout No. 5 and oppose the signalization of Pleasant View Drive and Highway 10 until such time as the drainage problems amid signalization align- ments are resolved. Councilmember Hodges indicated that he agreed with the motion and felt that the City Councils needed to get together on these issues. Spring Lake Park Councilmember Coulthart suggested Subcommittees of the City Councils and Mayor McCarty indicated that he would prefer that the Mounds View Planning Commission and staff meet with representatives of Spring Lake Park on this matter. 5 ayes 0 nays Councilmember Blanchard reviewed the year end Forestry Report provided by Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director Anderson and requested staff send letters of grati- tude to those residents who donated trees to the City of Mounds View during 1981. Council member Blanchard read the names of these individuals indicating it was her desire to give them public recognition for their contri- butions. Councilmember Blanchard) further requested staff send a letter of condolences to the family of ex- Ramsey County Sheriff Hedman who recerJ;ly passed away.
