Mounds View City Council February 8, 1982 Regular Meeting Page-Seven Mayor McCarty asked Clerk /Administrator Pauley to research the proposed authority and get baci: to the Council, so they could make a decision and send a letter. Councilmember Doty reported to the Park and Rec Commission had just held their annual elections. Councilmember Doty reported that a good deal of damage had been done to the rented warming house at Hillview Park, while the attendant was out on the rink. He suggested checking into a reward system to see if they could find the violators. Councilmember Doty reported that he and Council member Hodges had attended the Ramsey County League meeting last week, where district court was discussed. Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to reappoint Donna Bowman for a term on the Lakeside Park Commission. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Mayor McCarty asked that it be noted that a regular member is needed for the Festivities Commission. Motion /Second: McCarty /Forslund to appoint Peg Mountin as chairperson of the Planning Commission. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Mayor McCarty reported there would be a hearing on House File #1738, which would allow manu- factured homes in an R -1 district, at the State Office Building, in Room 57, at noon on February 10. Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated he would provide a briefing that morning at 9:00 in his office. Mayor McCarty reported that the Met Council Committee of Legislators would be convening soon and he will pass the information on as he gets it. He also asked Clerk /Administrator Pauley to inform the Council if the City is not receiving the information they need in a timely manner. Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported that he had represented the suburbs and their position at the Ramsey County League of Cities meeting, and recommended that the suburbs unify. 15.
