Mounds View City Hall February 22, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />20 copies of their report at City Hall. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley replied it would be a good <br />opportunity to try out the new mimeograph equip- <br />ment. <br />Mayor McCarty stated there were two items he would <br />like to discuss at the next agenda session, one <br />being the ordinance that presently requires drain <br />tile if a building or house is to be built within <br />5' of the water table, and the other being a <br />priority item of working on the joint powers <br />agreements and job descriptions. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that the senior citizen <br />member of the Lakeside Park Commission has resigned <br />so there is an opening on the Commission. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that on February 25, at 10 AM <br />in Room 83 in the State Office Building, Senate <br />file 744 and House file 1117, regarding surface <br />water management legislation, will be discussed. <br />He stated he would be attending the meeting and <br />encouraged others to do so. <br />Mayor McCarty reported the City Dinner would be <br />held on April 24, with more details to follow <br />at a later date. <br />Park Director Anderson reported that the over- <br />all reaction to the use of portable buildings <br />in the skating program was that they were <br />functional and can work. He stated there had <br />been a problem with damage to the buildings <br />and they would be dealing with the vandalism <br />through the Police Department. He added that <br />the skating rinks had closed last Thursday <br />due to the warm weather and slush. <br />Park Director Anderson reported he had been <br />looking into having private industry perform <br />some of the park maintenance duties. He <br />stated three meetings had been held so far <br />and that it is a very interesting possibility. <br />He added that the specs are being drafted at <br />this time. <br />Park Director Anderson reported that with <br />Edgewood and Red Oak Schools being closed <br />down, he is the chairman of a task force <br />to find an alternate use for the schools. <br />He stated they hope to have something r' -ady <br />by early next: week. <br />9.
