Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Peter Zieurek, 8145 Eastwood Road, stated he <br />lived across the street from Mr. Knapp and <br />asked what was planned. Official Rose gave a <br />summary of what Mr. Knapp has requested. <br />Gil Groberg, 2657 Sherwood Road, asked the <br />purpose of the accessory building and whether <br />Mr. Knapp had asked to subdivide his lot. <br />Official Rose replied that Mr. Knapp has stated <br />he does not plan to subdivide. He added that <br />the accessory building would be used to store <br />many of Mr. Knapp's possessions, such as antique <br />autos and tractors. Mayor McCarty added that <br />the way Mr. Knapp plans to place the new home <br />would exempt the lot from being subdivided. <br />Mr. Groberg stated he was not opposed to the plan. <br />Matt Hanson, 8150 Eastwood, asked where the <br />garage would be placed. Official Rose explained <br />it would remain where it is, and that Mr. Knapp <br />would be removing the existing home and building <br />a new one on the lot. <br />Jerry Wheeler, 2685 Sherwood Road, asked where <br />the new home would be placed. Mr. Knapp replied <br />that it would not be any further back or forward <br />than any other house on the block, and it would <br />be centered in the middle of the 177' lot. He <br />added that the home they plan to build is <br />approximately $185,000, and that he is retired <br />and he and his wife both like Mounds View very <br />much and want to build their home here. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:50 PM. <br />Motion /Second: Hodges /Blanchard to have Staff <br />prepare a resolution approving the conditional <br />use permit for Arnold Knapp at 8140 Eastwood <br />Road. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the public hearing for Gregory Johnson <br />at 7:50 PM. <br />Official Rose reported that the applicant has <br />requested to rezone the property at 2865 <br />Highway 10 from R -1 single family to B -3, <br />with a conditional use permit fox minor auto <br />repair. He stated that along Highway 10 the <br />Comprehensive Plan provides for medium density <br />zoning.
