Mounds View City Council April 12, 1982 <br />Regular besting Page Nine <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to reject the <br />bid of Crosstown Sweeping Corporation and <br />authorize readvertising for bids, with a bid <br />letting date of April 21 at 9 AM. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Official Rose had no report. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received a <br />letter from the Kraus /Anderson legal counsol, <br />stating they would like to arrange to program <br />their SWM charges for the project through the <br />assessment method against the benefited pro- <br />perties, which would result in their not paying <br />money up front but paying it as the building <br />permits are issued. <br />Mayor McCarty asked Attorney Meyers to provide <br />the Council with a further report. <br />Councilmember Forslund had no report. <br />Councilmember Hodges had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported the Easter egg <br />hunt the previous Saturday had been a great <br />success, with between 700 and 800 children and <br />parents participating. <br />Mayor McCarty reported he had talked to Staff <br />regarding the water billing procedure for <br />rental properties. <br />Motion /aecond: McCarty /Hodges that the water <br />bills be mailed to the tenants where the <br />landlord /owner of the property has notified <br />tje City of the name and address of each <br />tenant, and further that the landlord /owner <br />signs an agreement to pay or be assessed, <br />in the case of a delinquent account, all unpaid <br />charges incurred by the tenant. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty reported that on the recent <br />bonding error regarding the Kraus /Anderson <br />development, he felt the Council and Staff <br />were both deligent and acted properly. }ie <br />stated that after investigating it, he felt <br />Staff had acted properly and the error was <br />committed by the other party.
