Mounds View City Council April 26, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />Official Rose explained the SWM charge will be <br />figured for the entire development and levied over <br />the condominium proposal. <br />Mayor McCarty asked where the Planning Commission <br />was on the Code update. Official Rose replied that <br />they have zoning, subdivisions and signs left. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to set a public <br />hearing for the municipal code review for May 24, <br />1982 at 7:40 PM. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Hodges /Doty to authorize the <br />hiring of Sharon Linke as the Parks, Recrea- <br />tion and Forestry secretary, at a salary of <br />$5.40 per hour, with a six month probationary <br />period. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Park Director Anderson explained the City is <br />having trouble getting City Newsletters <br />delivered to all residents, as several of the <br />routes include residents of other Cities, and <br />since the Newsletter is sent third class, the <br />postman delivers it to all homes on the route. <br />There was discussion among the Council of the <br />best way to insure that all residents receive a <br />Newsletter. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Forslind to direct Staff <br />to get the figures of the Mounds View residents <br />who are not receiving the City Newsletter under <br />the new postal regulations, and additional <br />direct Staff to investigate the cost of using <br />a private mailing system for delivery of the <br />Newsletter. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Official Rose reported 7 -11 has requested to <br />expand their soda fountain from 4 lines to <br />6 or 8 lines, which requires construction. <br />He stated the Planning Commission has directed <br />Staff to research the matter, including dis- <br />cussing it with the Ramsey County Health <br />Department. He added it looks like it will be <br />1 to 2 months before they receive the information <br />back from the County. <br />Motion Carried <br />13.
