Mounds View City Council May 24, 1982 Regular Meeting Page Seven Motion /Second: Forslund /Blanchard to approve the hiring of Gilman Groberg, Raymond Williams and John Graham for the Public Works Department, as recommended per the memo of May 24, 1982 from the Director of Public Works /Community Development. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Attorney Meyers reported he had met *rith the developers of Mounds View Residence, Inc. last week and they had hoped to present a completed contract soon, but have run into what could be a major problem with tax increment financing. He explained a ruling was recently made in a similar situation, where the Court ruled the property in question was tax exempt, which would ruin the proposed financing. He added he will keep the Council posted. 10. Report of Attorney Councilmember Hodges reported he will be on 11. Reports of vacation from May 27 to June 6. Councilmembers Councilmember Forslund proposed the dates of June 16 and 17 for a code review between the Planning Commission and City Council. Mayor McCarty replied a date would be set at the next agenda session. It was pointed out that the June 16 and 17 dates would be in conflict with the League of Cities Convention. Peg Mountin stated the Planning Commission would still like the opportunity to review the changes once more before going over them with the Council. Councilmember Forslund pointed out that June 7 is graduation for Irondale High School. Motion /Second: Forslund /Hodges to move the June 7, 1982 agenda meeting to June 8, 1982. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Councilmember Forslund reported the Planning Commission has requested upcoming agendas for the Council meetings, and suggested that mail boxes could be set up at City Hall whereby they could stop in and pick up the agendas. There was discussion among the Council of the system presently being used to deliver mail to Council and Commission members.
