Mounds View City Council May 24, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to direct Staff to cease <br />the system of delivering City Council packets to the <br />homes of Councilmembers via police squad cars. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty that the Police Depart- <br />ment be ordered to cease delivering Planning <br />Commission packets, and the packets be made <br />available at City Hall. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Peg Mountin stated that the Planning Commission <br />had directed staff to include an agenda in their <br />packet, should one be available at that time. She <br />also noted that it is City Staff, not the Police <br />Department who delivers their packets. Mayor <br />McCarty replied they could continue having Staff <br />deliver the packets. <br />Councilmember Doty reported Clean -Up Day had been <br />a success. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to adopt Resolution <br />No. 1441 thanking all groups and individuals whc <br />helped with Clean -Up Day for a job well done. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated it was very unfor- <br />tunate that the Girl Scouts experienced problems <br />while they worked on Clean -Up Day. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that Susan Moore from the <br />Energy Department had called regarding auditing <br />homes in Mounds View. Councilmember Hodges added <br />that the Boy Scouts will be helping with the audits. <br />Mayor McCarty asked for authorization to attend the <br />Governor's Forum on housing, cn June 2. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Hodges to a'_z_horize <br />Mayor McCarty to attend the Governor's Forum on <br />housing on June 2. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion_ Carried <br />Councilmember Hodges agreed to attend the AMM <br />meeting on May 26, in the Mayor's place, as Mayor <br />McCarty would be attending the firemen's meeting. <br />Motion Carried <br />
