Mounds View City Council August 23, 1982 Regular Meeting Page Three Director Johnson explained the City has not con- ducted any tests during the past 20 -30 days, other than standard tests on the drinking water, which was acceptable. He stated that Mounds view has been producing an extraordinarily high amount of water this past summer, which makes the water problem more noticeable and wide- spread. He added that they hope to have an answer within 30 -60 days. Councilmember Forslund asked if Ms. Weigand would like the samples analyzed that she presented to the Council. Ms. Weigand replied that she would, and she also stated she would be glad to answer questions and provide additional samples to whoever works on the problem. Mayor McCarty asked if the City could agree that the tests run by the State are reliable for health standards. Director Johnson replied they could. He added that since it was a very busy time of the year, it might take longer than usual to have the samples analyzed. The Council discussed Item B and determined the 7. Motion /Second: Hodges /Doty to approve the consent agenda, minus Item G, and waive the reading of the resolutions. 4 ayes 0 nays Mayor McCarty stated that there seemed to be some continuing confusion over Item G, that while the salary was correct, he was opposed to changing the grade level and moved that it be a Level XI.
