Attorney Meyers also pointed <br />out that according to market analysts, it is believed <br />that the condominiums will sell more quickly than the <br />single family homes, which will result in the City <br />receiving an earlier payoff. <br />Councilmember Doty stated he felt this request was <br />similar to what was proposed for SWM earlier, then <br />changed. Attorney Meyers replied that this does <br />not appear to be a problem. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley corrected the interest <br />rate to read "11%" on the resolution. <br />Engineer Boxrud stated he had gone over the <br />final project costs, and he feels the figures are <br />very close. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and opened <br />the regular meeting at 7:55 PM. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Forsiund to send Resolution <br />No. 1476 back to Staff for evaluation and <br />recommendation. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to have a special <br />meeting on August 30, 1982 at 7 PM to deal with <br />the Silver Lake Woods assessments. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Karen Weigand, 2273 Lois Drive, presented the <br />Council with a petition signed by 100% of the <br />residents of Lois Drive, requesting an immediate <br />and thorough investigation of the quality of the <br />public water they are receiving. She presented <br />the Council with two samples of water taken from <br />her tap at different times. She added they are <br />all concerned with the safety of drinking the <br />water, as well as the discoloration of clothing <br />and fixtures. <br />Mayor McCarty explained the City is in the process <br />of working on this problem, which started at the <br />beginning of the summer, and an item further on <br />the evening's agenda is to select a consultant <br />to work on the project. <br />Motion Carried <br />6.
