He also stated the total assessment figure for the project must not change. Attorney Meyers also pointed out that according to market analysts, it is believed that the condominiums will sell more quickly than the single family homes, which will result in the City receiving an earlier payoff. Councilmember Doty stated he felt this request was similar to what was proposed for SWM earlier, then changed. Attorney Meyers replied that this does not appear to be a problem. Clerk /Administrator Pauley corrected the interest rate to read "11%" on the resolution. Engineer Boxrud stated he had gone over the final project costs, and he feels the figures are very close. Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and opened the regular meeting at 7:55 PM. Motion /Second: McCarty /Forsiund to send Resolution No. 1476 back to Staff for evaluation and recommendation. 4 ayes 0 nays Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to have a special meeting on August 30, 1982 at 7 PM to deal with the Silver Lake Woods assessments. 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Karen Weigand, 2273 Lois Drive, presented the Council with a petition signed by 100% of the residents of Lois Drive, requesting an immediate and thorough investigation of the quality of the public water they are receiving. She presented the Council with two samples of water taken from her tap at different times. She added they are all concerned with the safety of drinking the water, as well as the discoloration of clothing and fixtures. Mayor McCarty explained the City is in the process of working on this problem, which started at the beginning of the summer, and an item further on the evening's agenda is to select a consultant to work on the project.
