Mounds View City Council September 27, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />In response to questioning, Finance Director Brager <br />stated there were delinquencies other than utilities <br />that were owed the City. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to receive Resolution <br />No. 1502 and table action on the resolution until <br />such time as each individual listed has received a <br />letter from the City, notifying them that the City <br />Council will consider levying unpaid utility bills <br />on real estate taxes, in addition to other options, <br />at an October 4, 1982 special meeting. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges that it be the policy <br />of the Council to direct Staff that residents and all <br />others that are indebted to the City be notified by <br />letter before delinquencies are attached to their <br />real estate taxes for payment. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Forslund /Blanchard to add Resolution <br />No. 1502 as an item for discussion at the special <br />meeting on October 4, 1982. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Director Johnson asked for approval of the Silver Lake <br />Woods reapportionment. Attorney Meyers explained that <br />it is an existing assessment, and is just being <br />divided up differently. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to approve Resolu- <br />tions 1488, 1489, 1490 and 1491 and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Director Johnson reported he had received a memo from <br />Mr. Rose, explaining how soil testing is done, which <br />he will send to the Wetlands Committee. <br />Director Johnson reported he had received a letter from <br />Evan Green at MnDOT regarding the City's participation <br />in a traffic signal, and he would like to come in and <br />address the Council at an agenda session, to explain <br />the course of action that is being taken by MnDOT. <br />Director Johnson also reported that Spring Lake Park <br />is settlign a public hearing on the signal. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received information 17. Report cf <br />on the cable tv, and it appears the final documents Attorney <br />are being submitted to the Cities for action. He <br />added that under Chapter 10 of the Charter, they must <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />
