Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley informed the Council 11. <br />there is a possible site in Fridley, which <br />borders on Mounds View, from University Avenue <br />down 73rd and that staff will provide a full report <br />on this site. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Forslund to authorize Staff <br />to send a letter to the University of Minnesota <br />and to the City of Shoreview, indicating Mounds <br />View's support of their position opposing the identi- <br />fication of the Shoreview ante as a hazardous waste <br />transfer site by the State of Minnesota Waste <br />Management Board, with a copy to the Waste Management Board <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Johnson asked for Council approval for the <br />advertisement of bids, by invitation, for work on <br />Well No. 5 <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to authorize <br />Staff to invit.. bids from Layne Minnesota Co., <br />Keys Well Drilling Co, Bergerson Caswell Inc. and <br />Tri -State Drilling Equipment Co., for well <br />maintenance work, to be paid from the water fund. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Johnson reported they are ready to move <br />into Phase 2 of the water treatment study, and <br />reviewed his memo of November 22, addressed to <br />the Council, and explained what the testing <br />will accomplish. <br />Motion /Second: Hodges /Blanchard to move on with <br />Phase 2 testing of Wells No. 5, 6 and 4, with the <br />funds of approximately $4100 to come from the <br />water fund. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Directo.
