Mounds View City Council November 22, 1982 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />Wetlands Committee meeting on November 29. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Forslund to have a special <br />work session on November 29, beginning at 7 PM, <br />to deal with the surface water management plan, and <br />to have Representative Knuth meet with the Council. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Johnson reported 75 applications have been <br />received for the opening in the Maintenance Department, <br />and they are proceeding with interviewing, but would <br />like the assurance of the Council that the position <br />will still be filled. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated he does not anti- <br />cipate any action required before the December 6 <br />agenda session, at which time he and Finance Director <br />Brager feel they will have a better picture for the <br />Council of the budget situation. <br />Mayor McCarty stated the Maintenance Department will <br />have to set priorities to make due, and for example, <br />would have to put maintenance work before recreation <br />work. He suggested asking the different recreation <br />groups for their help. <br />Gary Kardell stated that the Maintenance Department <br />is going to be short handed for the next six weeks <br />due to holidays and vacations. <br />Attorney K had no report_ 18. Report of <br />Attorney <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. 19. Report of <br />Councilmembers <br />Councilmember Hodges reported he had attended the <br />Youth Services Bureau meeting and reported on the <br />highlights. He gave some results of the question <br />nairs sent out to employers from the summer job <br />program. <br />Councilmember Hodges reported he had attended the <br />Ramsey County League meeting, at which the legisla- <br />tive agenda of Ramsey County was discussed. <br />Councilmember Forslund had no report. <br />Mayor McCarty asked that .:veryone review the arti- <br />cle in the Administrative Newsletter regarding the <br />Anoka County Airport. He stated he has unconfirmed <br />information that the City should prepare for another <br />battle on the airport issue. He stated an umbrella <br />group is being formed to field information through <br />the process, and will serve as a clearing house for <br />Motion Carried <br />
