Mounds View City Council June 27, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />Mayor McCarty asked that items E and <br />for discussion. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to <br />consent agenda, minus Items E and F, <br />reading of the resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained <br />Yenish was present, and had met with <br />in the day and expressed a deaire to <br />Council regarding Item 3 on Appendix <br />development agreement, concerning spr <br />Mr. Yenish explained that the sprinklers were not <br />required when he first checked the City code, and <br />this requirement will totally change his plans <br />for his hotel development. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table the project <br />until such time as the developer has provided the <br />City with all the required information. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty explained the City does not have the <br />final plat yet from Mr. Yenish, and he is not willing <br />to approve something he has not seen. <br />Mr. Yenish's engineer explained that there was a <br />misunderstanding in talking to Staff, as it is just <br />a matter of showing the property line being moved. <br />Director Johnson stated that after the second reading <br />of proposed Ordinance No. 342, it would be another 40 <br />days or so before the code would take effect, and <br />asked if the Council intends to require sprinklers <br />for this particular building. <br />Mayor McCarty replied that they should be required in the <br />Development Agreement, as the Council is responsible for <br />the public health, safety, and welfare. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Linke to have the second reading <br />and adoption of Ordinance No. 342, an ordinance <br />amending Chapter 63.05 of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Mounds View entitled, "Fire Code and waive <br />the reading of the ordinance. <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Mayor McCarty <br />Hankner aye <br />Blanchard aye <br />Doty aye <br />Linke aye <br />aye <br />F be removed <br />approve the <br />and waive the <br />that Norb <br />Staff earlier <br />address the <br />2A of his <br />inklers. <br />6.
