He added that he <br />had seen a news report on television, prioritizing <br />highway projects, and County Road J was not listed. <br />Director Johnson explained that earlier in the Spring, <br />District 5 of the Highway Department authorized and <br />signed the right of way documents to authorize the <br />acquisition of the necessary pieces of land. He <br />stated that further details are still being worked <br />out. He added that the City has informed the <br />Highway Department that this is a priority item for <br />the City, and they responded that it will be <br />prioritized in the Fall. <br />Councilmember Linke stated he has personally called <br />District 5 to put pressure on by letting them know that <br />there is strong local support for the improvement. Mayor <br />McCarty added that the City will write to MnDOT, voicing <br />their concern, and asking them to contact Mr. Petrowski <br />directly with a response. <br />Motion Carried <br />4. Residents Re- <br />quests (Cont.) <br />Director Johnson stated he would call and get a <br />current update for Mr. Petrowski on priority status. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Linke to approve the first 7. 1st Reading of <br />reading of Ordinance No. 344, an ordinance amending Ord. No. 344 <br />the Municipal Code of Mounds View by amending Chapter <br />100, entitlea "Intoxicating Liquors and waive the <br />reading. <br />4 ayes 1 nay Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Doty stated he had voted against the <br />motion as he feels enough liquor is sold all week <br />long. <br />
