Mounds View City Council August 8, 1983 Regular Meeting Page Eight Councilmember Doty questioned the status of the City's 15. Reports of water supply. Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied Councilmembers that all the equipment is being put back into opera- ting order, and the City is able to keep up with the present demand, and Staff is keeping a close watch on the situation. Councilmember Linke reported the Ramsey County League of Local Governments will be meeting on August 17, and the topic of the evening will be the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. Councilmember Linke reported the Festivities Commission had met August 3 and went over their reorganization, which they are well into. Councilmember Linke reported the Park and Rec Department held a picnic on August 2 for the volunteer coaches, and presented each coach with a jacket, in appreciation for the work they did. Councilmember Hankner reported she had spent an after- noon with Fire Chief Fagerstrom and toured the Fire Department facilities, and found it very interesting and a learning experience. Councilmember Blanchard reported she had not attended the August 3 Planning Commission and had no report. Mayor McCarty had no report. Clerk /Administrator Pauley presented the Council 16. Report of with a list of people that may be going on the tax Clerk /Admini- certification list. strator Mayor McCarty expressed concern that there may be some senior citizens on the list, who are too proud to come to the City for help. Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that Staff is familiar with all but five of the people on the list, and many had signed promisary notes and then not followed through. He added the City has made every attempt to try and collect the delinquent bills and to help people make arrangements for payment. Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to authorize Staff to proceed with tax certification for unpaid water and sewer bills. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried
