Mounds View City Council April 23, 1984 Regular Meeting Page Nine -lerk /Administrator Pauley explained that because of he type of work that would be done, and the amount of money involved, the cities could not assist. Councilmember Linke reported he will not be able to attend the Ramsey County League meeting on April 25, where they will be discussing hospitals. No other Councilmember was available to attend, so it was suggested -Clerk /Administrator Pauley contact Betty Wall to see if she could attend. Councilmember I-Iankner had no report. Councilmember Blanchard stated she would like to commend the Planning Commission for the work they have done on the rezonings. She added they have a recommendation on overnight parking that will be sent on to the Council soon. Councilmember Blanchard stated the Lions Easter Party had been a huge success. Mayor McCarty had no report. Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked for Council approval 14. Report of or a resolution commending Patt Fry. Administrator Motion /Second: Doty/Blanchard to adopt Resolution No. 1731, commending Patt Fry for three years of ser- vice to the City of Mounds View, and waive the reading. 5 ayes 0 nays Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked for Council authoriza- tion to hire Patt Fry for a maximum of 32 hours at her present salary, to train her replacement. Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to hire Patt Fry for a maximum of 32 hours, at her present salary, to train her replacement at the discretion of the ClerL dministrator. 5 ayes 0 nays Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had finished interviewing applicant's for the administrative secretary position, and asked Council authorization to hire Michele Severson. Motion /Second: Doty /Linke to approve the hiring of Michele Severson as administrative secretary, at a tarting rate of $7.20 /hr., with an increase to $7.40/hr. t the end of 90 days. 5 ayes Motion Carried Motion Carried 0 nays Motion Carried
