5 ayes 0 nays <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor McCarty at 7:30 PM on April 23, 1984. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />.A:ISLY COMITY, MINNESOTA <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Doty, Linke, Hankner, <br />Blanchard and Mayor McCarty. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- <br />strator Pauley and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />1-lotion/Second: McCarty /Doty that the Council read into <br />the minutes as pages 9A and 9B, the memo to the Council <br />rom the Clerk /Administrator, dated April 11, 1984, subject, <br />`~*Povlitzki's Off 10 and the letter to Richard Povlitzki <br />from Clerk /Administrator Pauley, dated January 4, 1984. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to approve the April 9, <br />1984 minutes as corrected. <br />Carol Sidenkrantz, Student Services Coordinator for the <br />Mounds View School District, asked the Council to <br />again sponsor the district in renewing the community <br />resources grant, as well as a mini grant, and a <br />juvenile.crime prevention grant. She explained that, <br />as with last year, there would be no cost to the City. <br />and they would merely serve as the sponsoring party. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Linke to direct Staff to <br />cooperate with Ms. Sidenkrantz, Student Services <br />Coordinator, to obtain the three grants requested. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />neressa Kluck, no address given, r3quested permission <br />to have the Lifemobile on display at the Festival in <br />the Park. She explained the Lifemobile is pro -life <br />and anti abortion.
