Mounds View City Council May 29, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />There was no one present to address the rezoning. <br />Attorney Meyers stated that the record should show <br />that notice was sent on this parcel to the property <br />owner and published in the legal paper. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:03 p.m. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Linke to have the First <br />Reading of Ordinance No. 365 Amending the Municipal <br />Code of Mounds View by Amending Chapter 41 Entitled <br />"Specific Rezonings and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />There was discussion before the vote was taken on the <br />previous motion. <br />Attorney Meyers indicated that ,Council should be <br />aware that this parcel would be brought into conformance with the <br />comprehensive plan with this rezoning. <br />Director Thatcher recommended the hiring of a fulltime 15 <br />temporary worker, Mr. Galen K! lash, for a duration of <br />66 days during the summer. <br />Motion /Second: Linke Hankner to approve the recommended <br />hiring of 66 days at $5.00 /hour. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher reviewed discussions with the state <br />on the signal light at County Road J and Trunk Highway <br />10. He stated that after the state had proposed a <br />second modification to the intersection and he told <br />them they would have to pay, they decided to stay with <br />the first modification. He noted that it will all be <br />covered by ?SA funds. <br />Attorney T?eyers had nothing to report. <br />^'cCarty closer' the regular *meeting and reopened 17. <br />it at 8:21 p.m. <br />rayor YcCarty stated that it had been discovered that <br />there was a defect in the notice procedures for the <br />next two public hearings on the agenda and therefore <br />the Council would not be able to hold the hearings as <br />planned. He further stated that, because of the contro- <br />versial issues surrounding these two rezoninjs, it was <br />suggested that further meetings with the Planning Commission. <br />14.
