Mounds View City Council May 29, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Director Thatcher stated that the addition is <br />located between Groveland and Fairchild and showed <br />the areas that would be subdivided. He explained <br />that there will be an easement between LaPort and <br />Haden and a 10' easement for a walkway. <br />Jim Bremer, 2765 LaPort Dr., stated that he wanted <br />to change his fencing and asked if his fence could <br />be moved to within 10' of the center of Fairchild <br />if the subdivision is approved. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that the final plat <br />approval would include vacation of the right -of -way <br />and that Mr. Bremer would be able to put his fence <br />right on the property line of the 10' easement. <br />Mr. Bremer asked if the City would be fencing the <br />walkway. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that Staff is <br />currently looking at developing a policy with <br />regard to this. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened 23. Resolution <br />the regular meeting at 9:15 p.m. No. 1745 <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to adopt Resolution <br />No. 1745 Approving the Gayle -Yost Preliminary Plat <br />and Setting a Public Hearing for the Necessary Improve- <br />ment, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk Administrator Pauley reported that one of the 24. <br />City's two Toro Groundsmasters threw a rod and the <br />engine was totaled so Staff was required to replace <br />the engine. As a result, he suggested rebudgeting <br />of a new machine to 1985. <br />Mayor McCarty indicated that he was concerned about <br />the difference in cost in delaying purchase of a new <br />machine to next year. He asked Clerk Administrator <br />Pauley to look into contingency or ether funds to <br />get whatever is needed for a new machine. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported that after dis- <br />cussions last week of contract negotiations, he made <br />an offer to the Police Union but was advised that <br />the offer was rejected. He stated that he is tenta- <br />tively scheduled to meet with them again this week and <br />has taken the position that he is willing to discuss <br />any other options they present so long as the total <br />package does not increase. <br />8203 and 8227 <br />Groveland Road <br />known as the <br />Gayle -Yost <br />Addition <br />Notion Carried <br />Report of <br />Administrator <br />
