Y <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor McCarty at 7:30 PM on June 11, 1984. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Blanchard, Doty, <br />Linke and Mayor McCarty. <br />It was noted Councilmember Hankner was on vacation. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- <br />strator Pauley and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Linke to approve the May <br />29, 1984 minutes as corrected. <br />3 ayes <br />0 nays 1 abstention <br />Councilmember Doty abstained from the vote as he had <br />not been present at the May 29 meeting. <br />Regular Meeting <br />June 11, 1984 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />Jim Vleck, 7920 Groveland, questioned why his property <br />had been rezoned from R -1 to R -2, without notifying <br />him, and how th.it rezoning might effect his property <br />taxes. <br />Mayor McCarty explained the rezoning corrected the <br />zoning from R -1, to bring it into compliance with the <br />Comprehensive Plan, as duplexes are not allowed in an <br />R -1 area. He added he did not believe there should <br />be any significant change in the property taxes. <br />Attorney Meyers clarified that the County Assessor <br />would have been assessing the property in the past <br />on the use it was being put to, so there should be <br />no change. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained this rezoning was <br />classified non- controversial, as the action will have <br />no effect on the property and just brought it into <br />1.
