PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor McCarty at 7:30 PM on September 24, 1984. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />2401 Hwy. 10 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Linke, 1-lankner, <br />Blanchard, Doty and Mayor McCarty. <br />ALSO PRESENT:City Attorney Meyers, Finance Director <br />Brager and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Hankner to approve the August <br />27, 1984 minutes as corrected. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Hankner to approve the September <br />10, 1984 minutes as presented. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Russell Warren, 8044 Greenwood Drive, stated that on <br />September 20, the local DFL had sent a letter to <br />Police Chief Ramacher, with carbon copies sent to <br />the Council and Mayor, and Gary Quick and Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley, regarding an election billboard <br />sign for Duane McCarty at Highway 10 and Edgewood, <br />which violates the election sign statutes. He <br />noted that Mr. Quick had been advised by Mayor McCarty <br />that a sign he had put up earlier had to be taken down <br />as it was also in violation, and asked when Mayor <br />McCarty's sign would be removed. <br />Attorney Meyers reviewed Ordinance No. 39, covering e <br />election signs. He explained that a violation would <br />be a criminal offense under the code, and enforcement <br />would be the issuance of complaints by the proper <br />officials, and then the case may proceed to court. <br />September 24, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />1.
