PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Special Meeting <br />December 17, 1984 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />Mayor McCarty called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 p.m. on December 17, 1984. <br />A Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />Members present: Councilmembers Linke, 2. Roll Call <br />Blanchard, Doty, Hankner and Mayor McCarty. <br />Others present: Clerk Adminstrator Pauley and <br />Finance Director Brager. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to cancel the <br />December 26, 1984 regularly scheduled meeting. <br />5 ayes <br />Date Annroved 1/14/85 <br />1. Motion Carried <br />authorize the Police Department to <br />purchase two radar units from MPI Industries <br />in the amount of 52700 with one unit being <br />delivered in December of 1984 and purchased from 1984 budget <br />surplusses and the second to deliver in 1985 and <br />purchased per the 1985 capital equipment program. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Brian Collway of Corporate Risk Managers, Inc. reviewed with <br />the City Council the services provided by the Corporate Risk <br />Managers to the City during the past year and discussed the <br />future outlook for the cost and quality of Municipal <br />Insurance coverage. Members of the Council discussed with <br />Mr. Collway a variety of issues regarding the current <br />coverage provided by the City's insurance carrier and what <br />the future would hold for the City of Mounds View in <br />particular. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Linke to 5. Motion Carried <br />authorize renewal of the insurance and risk <br />management consultant contract with Corporate Risk <br />Managers for the period of November 1, 1984 <br />to October 31, 1985 at a cost net to exceed <br />$3,325. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />
