The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Linke at 7:30 PM on April 8, 1985. <br />The Pled of Allegiance was said. <br />P ?)CEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Quick, Blanchard, <br />Haake, Hankner and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- <br />strator Pauley and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Haake to approve the March 25, <br />1985 minutes as presented. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Bill Fritz, no address given, questioned why a stop <br />sign was installed at Long Lake Road and Hillview <br />and asked whether the Council had authorized it. <br />Mayor Linke replied that it is a county road and that <br />Mr. Fritz was present when the Council discussed the <br />request and petition. He added that it was a county <br />decision to install it. <br />Mr. Fritz replied he had written to county commissioner <br />Bob Orth and asked who had approved the sign, and was <br />told that it had been requested by Mounds View. He <br />asked what was going to be done. <br />Mayor Linke stated that there had been a concern with <br />the residents of the area with slowing traffic on that <br />road. <br />Regular Meeting <br />April 8, 1985 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated it was her understanding <br />that the citizen who requested the sign had appeared <br />before the county commission, and she was not representing <br />the City Council. <br />Councilmember Hankner reviewed a letter Mr. Fritz had <br />DATE APPROVED: April 22, 1985 <br />1.
