She added <br />she would be contacting Mr. Orth. <br />Mayor Linke requested copies of the documentation from <br />Mr. Fritz and stated they would discuss it further with <br />him at the next agenda session. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Quick to approve the consent <br />agenda as presented and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to have the first <br />reading of Ordinance No. 385, an ordinance amending <br />the municipal code of Mounds View by amending <br />Chapter 70 entitled "Municipal Water System" and <br />waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher reported the City had received a <br />petition for the installation of a street light <br />on the walkway between Quincy Street and Erickson <br />Road. <br />Mayor. Linke pointed out a light on the walkway could <br />also light up back yards and stated he would like to <br />see it moved out to the street, where it would provide <br />a greater benefit. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley pointed out there is a <br />light on the walkway on Pleasant View Circle. and it <br />is very difficult to walk on one of the walkways at <br />night without a light. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she would like to know <br />the reason for the petition, and whether there had <br />been any problems. <br />Director Thatcher stated it was his undertanding <br />that the residents felt the area was too dark anu <br />they were afraid of vandalism. <br />Councilmember Hankner pointed out that if the lic <br />is placed on Erickson Road, they would '.,ave to cc .tact <br />the people to see if they were agreea'Ale to it. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to table this item and <br />have Staff investigate other possibilities to <br />resolve the problems. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />6.
