Mounds View City Council July 8, 1985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />Director Thatcher recommended approval of the <br />rezoning o. the property from R -2 to R -1. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley pointed out that a <br />rezoning must be done by ordinance, and Staff <br />will prepare the necessary paperwork for the <br />next meeting. <br />Attorney Meyers advised the Council to take all <br />the concerns voiced earlier about the S..kper <br />America proposal into consideration, including <br />the residents reliance on the B -2 zoning, the <br />traffic generation, and noise. <br />Attorney Meyers reported the Appelette Court <br />approved the filing of an amecus brief by the <br />League of Cities in the Greg Johnson case. <br />He also reported he had received a call from the <br />respondent attorney, asking what was going to be <br />rezoned in that area. <br />Councilmember Hankner reminded everyone of the 16, Reports of <br />Festival in the Park on July 14. Councilmembers <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had received <br />complaints from neighbors about the Highway 10 <br />Radiator Repair Shop, including that the fence <br />has not been put up, excessive noise late at <br />night, and dead trees on the lot. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied he will have <br />the forester inspect the trees. <br />Councilmember Haake reported she had attended <br />the Festivities Commission meeting and she feels <br />the afternoon should be an enjoyable one. <br />Mayor Linke read a letter he had received from <br />Senator Dave Durenburger in response to the <br />City's interest in having a post office built <br />in the City. <br />Mayor Lire reviewed a letter received regarding <br />the Community Block Grant Meeting, scheduled for <br />July 10 at 7 PM at the Roseville City Hall. <br />Mayor Linke reviewed a request he had received <br />from the North Suburban Crime Fund, asking for <br />his signature on a letter which will be sent to <br />businesses, asking for their support of the program. <br />He explained no money was involved on the part of <br />the City, and with Council approval, he would be <br />signing it. <br />15.
