PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA The Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Linke at 7:30 PM on July 8, 1985. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Hankner, Quick, Blanchard, Haake and Mayor Linke. ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- strator Pauley and Public Works /Community Develop- ment Director Thatcher. Motion /Second: 1985 minutes as 5 ayes Haake /Quick to approve the June 24, corrected. 0 nays Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, presented news articles to the Council, and stated he felt the traffic at the Anoka County airport was increasing and that the new Councilmembers should give their opinions and where they stand formally. He added that he feels the lawsuit should be pushed forward at this time, within the next few months. Mayor Linke replied that one of the prime issues in the lawsuit is the noise problem, and the City has a commitment from Al Perez to get the noise monitoring done. He explained that it has been a difficult problem to get the monitoring done by Mr. Perez and the Council recently called him in and made it very clear the work had to be done immediately, and Mr. Perez has agreed to it, and has estimated it will take three months to gather the data and analyze it and report on it. Mr. McCarty stated he agrees the noise study is important but they need to proceed now to attack the Master Plan and cannot delay any longer.
