Mounds View City Council July 8, 1985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />Councilmember Hankner stated the Council has been <br />working very deligently to compile all the informa- <br />tion requested by the attornies to present the case, <br />and all bases must be covered, so the noise data is <br />needed. She added they have been pushing Mr..Perez <br />to get the monitoring done. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received the scoping <br />review from MAC's consultant, and that Mr. Merritt <br />feels it advocates segmentation. He is notifying <br />MAC that the City is still opposing the way the EIS <br />is being proposed. He added the noise issue is <br />very important and the results should be back from <br />Mr. Perez within the next few months. He asked <br />that people register their complaints with Mr. <br />Perez or City Hall, if they have not done so <br />already. He added that once Mr. Perez had presented <br />an analysis to the City, the lawsuit will be able <br />to proceed. <br />Bill Doty, 3049 Bronson Drive, stated the problem <br />of low flying aircraft over the City should be <br />looked into, and they should monitor altitudes <br />and add it to the lawsuit. <br />Mayor Linke explained the difficulties in obtaining <br />accurate readings. <br />Sandy McCarty, 8280 Greenwood Drive, stated she felt <br />traffic has increased immensely over the past three <br />months, and she has pictures of low flying aircraft, <br />as well as a log of the calls she has placed to the <br />Noise Abatement Council, which she will make available <br />to the City. <br />In response to questioning, Attorney Meyers stated <br />that the report from Mr. Perez will be released at <br />a later date, after it is evaluated, and once they <br />have proceeded with the lawsuit, as it would be <br />harmful to the City's case to publicize how they <br />plan to approach the lawsuit. <br />Julie Young, 8116 Eastwood, asked if all locations <br />had been selected for the monitoring and offered <br />her yard. <br />Mayor Linke replied the City has supplied Mr. Perez <br />with the information and he will make the selection <br />on the locations. <br />Mr. McCarty stated the contract was entered into <br />in the Fall of 1984, with an expected completion <br />in December 1984, and the report came in in the <br />Spring of 1985. <br />Mayor Linke pointed out that the report supplies <br />
