The Mounds View City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Linke at 7:10 PM on March 10, 1986. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Haake, Blanchard, <br />Quick and Mayor Linke. <br />It was noted Councilmember Hankner was absent. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- <br />strator'Pauley and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Linke to approve the February <br />24, 1986 minutes as corrected. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, asked if something <br />could be done with the problem of joggers who do not <br />wear light colored clothing and run in the streets <br />at dusk, as they are very difficult to see. <br />Mayor Linke replied Staff should put an article in <br />the next newsletter regarding safety. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Haake to approve the consent <br />agenda, as presented, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Quick to accept the recommenda- <br />tion of the Civil Service Commission to promote David <br />rick to the position of Police Lieutenant and Jerome <br />Johnson and Reed Krogh to the position of Patrol <br />Sergeant, effective March 15, 1986. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />DATE APPROVED: 3/24/86 <br />Regular Meeting <br />March 10, 1986 <br />Mounds View City.
