Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />g'ark Director Anderson explained that Ramsey County <br />Watershed District is responsible for cleaning the <br />ditch, which they have not done. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated this has been an <br />on- going problem and they have not cleaned the ditch <br />in quite some time. <br />Attorney Karney advised the City send them another <br />letter, asking that they clean the ditch and keep it <br />clean, as the City could be held liable for an <br />injury, if they know there is a problem. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Haake to have the City send a <br />letter to Rice Creek Watershed District as soon as <br />possible, requesting they clean up the ditch. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Haake stated she would be interested <br />in seeing Group W come in to the Park and Rec <br />Department and instructing people on the use of <br />the cable tv equipment which the City has. <br />Park Director Anderson explained such classes are <br />)ffered every quarter through community education, <br />r °and he has taken three so far himself. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated that Staff will be <br />trained to operate the equipment. <br />Attorney Karney reviewed some of the recent cable <br />litigation and how it might affect the City, <br />depending on the final outcome determined by the <br />Courts. <br />ouncilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />April 28, 1986 <br />Page Five <br />Motion Carried <br />Director Thatcher reported several calls had been 15.
