Mounds. View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />'ounciimember Haake stated she would like to pursue <br />having the Council meetings broadcast live. <br />Director Thatcher recommended this, application be <br />tabled until the issue of ownership, of tie property <br />and the right to build is resolved. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to table this item <br />until the issue of ownership of the property and <br />the right to build is resolved. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Haake to authorize the <br />Police Department to purchase a Motorola Syntorx <br />radio from Motorola Inc. in the amount of <br />$1,379.55. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained the existing <br />_adio would most likely be put into one of the <br />unmarked cars. <br />Park Director Anderson requested Council's authori- <br />zation to hire Mr. Pete Rechtzigel as the Acquatics <br />Supervisor, as a shared position between the cities <br />of Mounds View and New Brighton. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Quick to authorize the hiring <br />of Pete Rechtzigel at $19,000 per year, to be shared <br />on a 50 percent basis with the City of New Brighton <br />as per the approved joint powers agreement. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner advised Mr. Anderson of the <br />condition of Greenfield Park, which had experienced <br />a great deal of flooding with the recent rains. <br />She stated also that she had observed youngsters <br />riding their motor bikes and tearing up the sod, <br />and also jumping off the bridge and pushing one <br />another. <br />Director Thatcher explained the Public Works depart- <br />lent had just unclogged the inlet for the area, which <br />has helped considerably in getting the water to run <br />off. <br />April 28, 1986 <br />Page Four <br />12.
