Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Quick stated he would also like to Councilmember <br />extend a thank you to all who had helped last week. Quick <br />Mayor Linke reported the Ramsey County League meeting <br />would be held at the Falcon Heights city hall on July <br />16. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated that on behalf of 13. Report of <br />City Staff, he would like to thank all who helped Clerk/ <br />the City last week. He added he feels Staff did an Administrator <br />excellent job during the difficult time, and he will <br />see to it that they are each thanked. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reminded everyone the <br />American Red Cross will be conducting a session on <br />dealing with stress at the Edgewood Community <br />Center on July 16, from 7 to 8 :30 PM. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked authorization to <br />temporarily hire back Rita Docken to assist at <br />City Hall, while some personnel is on vacation, and <br />to get caught up. <br />1ot.ion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to authorize the hiring <br />of Rita Docken for up to 40 hours, at $8.34 an hour, to <br />be charged to the Community Development department. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked that the Council <br />give Staff direction on press releases, to coordinate <br />the efforts of everyone involved. <br />It was the concensus of the Council that press <br />releases should go through the Clerk /Administrator's <br />office, and they should be run past Attorney Meyers <br />before they are released. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the neighborhood <br />update will not continue as frequently as it has been, <br />as things have settled down, but will be done as new <br />information is available. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the City is in <br />the running for the community block grant which it had <br />applied for earlier.
