The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />ayes 0 nays <br />Order <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CI9'Y OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Linke at 7:06 PM on Monday, July 28, 1986. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Haake, Hankner, <br />Blanchard, Quick and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley and Public Works /Community Development Director <br />Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Hankner to approve the July 14, <br />986 minutes as corrected. <br />Regular Meeting <br />July 28, 1986 <br />Mounds Vi e City Hal <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 5511 <br />Bill Frits, treasurer of the Mounds View Lions Club, <br />presented the City with a $500 check, to be donated <br />to the Spano /Balk Benefit Fund. <br />Attorney Meyers reviewed the latest developments that <br />have occured relative to the explosion of the Williams <br />Pipeline in Mounds View on July 8. He stated they <br />have received a report from the U.S. Department of <br />Transportation, relative to 1984 pipeline breaks, and <br />he reviewed the types of breaks that were involved. <br />He stated they have been told that hydrostatic testing <br />could further weaken the existing line, and that is the <br />only testing the U.S. DOT is requesting of Williams <br />Pipeline Co. Attorney Meyers stated the City sent a copy <br />of the resolution the Council passed on July 14, 1986 to <br />the U.S. DOT, and they have not responded in any form. <br />He further stated that, along with a determination that <br />the pipeline is installed in the county right -of -way, under <br />a 1957 resolution, the County Board is investiaating the <br />of that agreement and will be making a complete <br />:cnvestigation into the pipeline. A request has also been <br />Glade to receive the report from the Governor's office on <br />pipeline safety in the State. <br />Call to <br />2. Pledge of <br />Allegiance <br />3.
