Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Aft Clerk /Administrator Pauley read Resolution No. 2121, <br />commending Matt Rowley for his assistance to the City, <br />and Resolution No. 2123, commending Greg Rowley for <br />his assistance to the City. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Quick to approve Resolution No. <br />2121, a resolution of appreciation and commendation <br />to Matt Rowley. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Hankner to approve Resolution <br />No. 2123, a resolution of appreciation and commenda- <br />tion to Greg Rowley. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened the <br />public hearing at 7:08 PM. <br />Steve Johnson, representing Super America, explained <br />they are asking for a conditional use permit, which <br />was approved by the Council last year, but the year <br />has expired, so they are asking for either a continu- <br />ance or reissuance of the conditional use permit. <br />Roman Mueller, of Super America, made a presentation of <br />the site plan, grading plan, planned vegetation, floor <br />plan of the building, and the building elevations, and <br />he compared them to how they had been presented last <br />year, showing what changes had been made. <br />Councilmember Haake stated she frequently turns left <br />from Highway 10, west onto County Road I, and she <br />can forsee problems with cars turning right into <br />Burger King, and left into Super America, and the <br />traffic stacking up that is turning from Highway 10. <br />She stated she is concerned and feels there is a <br />potential for accidents. <br />Director Thatcher explained Super America is dedicating <br />an easement to the County, so the County could widen the <br />road in the future for the right lane from County Road I <br />to Southbound T. H. 10. The Department of Transportation <br />will approve a turn lane from County Road I to go south <br />on Highway 10, however, they will not approve of it until <br />there is a demonstrated need for it. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked if the location of the <br />'oading dock has been changed. <br />November 10, 1986 <br />Page Two <br />7.
