Mounds View City Council November 24, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />014 as far as the resurfacing of County Road I is <br />concerned. <br />Director Thatcher reported they have indicated they <br />will be resurfacing the existing surface to the <br />existing width only. <br />Motion /Second: Haake /Hankner to direct Staff to <br />send a letter to Ramsey County, asking for a <br />reclarification in writing and for the County to <br />confirm the Council's understanding that County <br />Road I would be resurfaced from the west county <br />line to Silver Lake Road, on the existing roadway <br />only. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Attorney Meyers reported the City had been heard <br />on November 13 in Federal court, before Judge <br />Diana Murphy, regarding the preliminary injunction <br />against Williams Pipeline Company, and he reviewed <br />the positions presented by the County, Williams <br />Pipeline Company, and the City. He added the <br />issue comes down to proper notice and whether <br />the Federal government is acting diligently, and <br />he hopes for a decision soon. <br />Attorney Meyers reported the Highway 10 Radiator <br />Repair Shop case will be heard soon, possibly <br />before the end of the year. He added the issue <br />gets down to the home occupation question. <br />Attorney Meyers advised Judge Connelly would like <br />to come before the Council, to meet them, and he <br />believes the Judge will be at the first regular <br />meeting in December. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he will be <br />giving a memo to the Council next week, proposing <br />that Mary Saarion become Park and Rec Director, <br />and Shari Linke become Administrative Assistant <br />of that department. He explained they would hire <br />an individual on a part -time basis for the senior <br />citizen program, and would save approximately <br />$20,000 per year with these changes in position. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported the Commission on <br />Pipeline Safety will be meeting November 25 to <br />present their recommendations to the Governor. <br />11.
