Mounds View City Council November 24, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked Councilmember Hankner <br />to write an article for the next newsletter. She <br />agreed, and added she would be providing information <br />to the Council as soon as it is available. <br />Councilmember Haake had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had attended Councilmember <br />the flag dedication ceremony at Pinewood School on Blanchard <br />November 19, along with Councilmember -Elect Diane <br />Wuori and Clerk /Administrator Pauley, and enjoyed <br />it very much. <br />Mayor Linke explained the Mounds View Lions Club was <br />active in seeing that all the schools in the district <br />had flags for all the classrooms. <br />Mayor Linke reported he had spoken to Commissioner <br />McCarty regarding the County's plans to remove the <br />stoplights on County Road I by Pinewood School, and <br />was told the County is now considering keeping them. <br />He stated he spoke to school superintendent Burt <br />Nygren about the possibility of sharing the $16,000 <br />cost, and he felt it was a good possibility. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley added the County had approved <br />the lights earlier in the day. He stated he would <br />contact Mr. Nygren and let him know. <br />Mayor Linke reported there is an opening on the <br />Planning Commission and will be at least four <br />openings on the Park and Rec Commission, and asked <br />that anyone interested contact a member of the <br />Council, or call City Hall, for information and <br />an application. He added they would like to be <br />able to fill the positions by the first of the year. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley requested the executive 13. Report of <br />sessions which are scheduled before each Council Clerk/ <br />meeting be eliminated, and rather called as needed. Administrator <br />Mayor Linke replied he would rather leave them as <br />scheduled, and then cancel if one is not required, <br />which would eliminate having to post the information <br />each time. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley requested an executive <br />session be scheduled for 8:30 PM on December 15, <br />to discuss labor contract issues. <br />Councilmembe <br />Haake <br />Mayor Linke <br />
