Mounds View City Council December 22, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />M ayor Linke extended his thanks to Councilmember Haake <br />or all the work she has done for the City, and the <br />Knowledge she brought to the Council. <br />Mayor Linke reported the next City newsletter should <br />be in the mail now, and the cover is a picture of the <br />City staff. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked for Council authori- <br />zation to hire Diana Mortenson for 40 hours, at a <br />rate of $5 per hour, effective December 19, 1986, to <br />help out while Staff is short due to illness. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to authorize the <br />hiring of Diana Mortenson, at the rate of $5 per hour, <br />for 40 hours, commencing December 19, 1986. <br />4 ayes <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked for authorization <br />from the Council to submit the findings of fact <br />relative to the Williams Pipeline situation to <br />the National Transportation Safety Board. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Hankner to authorize the Clerk/ <br />lministrator to submit to the National Transportation <br />safety Board the findings of fact as discussed in the <br />December 22, 1986 executive session. <br />4 ayes <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley read a letter received <br />from Mark Dayton, thanking the Council for the <br />action they took, in allowing the section of Pipeline <br />between Superior and Duluth to be opened. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated that on behalf of <br />Staff, he would like to thank Councilmember Haake for <br />her years of service to the City, most recently her <br />two years on the Council. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Donald F. i'aaley <br />Cl rk /.•\l in!strator <br />16.
