'Mounds View City Council December 22, 1986 <br />Page Four <br />Regular Meeting <br />40 1111k <br />ttorney Meyers reported the Federal Court has not ruled 14. <br />p}n the November 13 hearing yet, relative to the Williams <br />"Pioeline case, and the City is awaiting that ruling to <br />determine their further course of action. He reported <br />the pipeline from Roseville to Duluth is closed, but the <br />City did agree to have a segment from Superior to Duluth <br />opened, at low pressure. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had received a letter <br />from the Government Training Services office, with a <br />proposal for a goal setting session, to be held in <br />February, and Staff audit. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Linke to authorize Staff to <br />negotiate a contract with the government training <br />service, for a goal setting session and audit, and set <br />a special meeting for 6 PM on January 6, 1987, between <br />the Council and two auditors to discuss the purpose <br />of the audit. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had attended the <br />Governor's luncheon for the pipeline commission members <br />and she thanked them all, on behalf of the Council, for <br />he time and effort they put in. It was the concensus <br />`f the Council to have Staff follow up by sending a <br />letter of thanks to all the commission members and those <br />involved, expressing the thanks of the Council and City. <br />Councilmember Hanker reviewed the recommendations the <br />commission made, and asked that a copy be kept at <br />City Hall, for anyone who would like to come in and <br />review it. <br />Councilmember Hankner presented a parting gift <br />Councilmember Haake, on behalf of the Council, <br />their thanks for all the work she has done for <br />City. <br />to <br />with <br />the <br />Councilmember Haake thanked the Council for the gift, <br />and stated she had enjoyed serving on the Council, <br />and that she is proud of Mounds View as a community. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report, and she also <br />extended he: thanks to Councilmember Haake for the <br />work she has done for the City. <br />Mayor Linke reported he and Clerk /Administrator Pauley <br />had made a presentation to the Minnesota Mayors <br />iiii on December 13, regarding emergency <br />esponses, relative to the Williams uiueline incident. <br />Report of <br />Attorney <br />15.
