The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Hankner, Quick, <br />Blanchard, Wuori and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk /Admini- <br />strator Pauley and Public Works /Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Hankner to a grove the January <br />12, 1987 minutes as presented. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Linke asked Clerk /Administrator Pauley to send <br />a letter to the Office of Pipeline Safety, requesting <br />that hydrostatic testing be done before the line is <br />reopened. <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 26, 1987 <br />Mounds View City H111 <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by 1. Call to Order <br />Mayor Linke at 7:01 PM on Monday, January 26, 1987. <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, stated that about <br />one week ago a portion of the Williams Pipeline on <br />Long Lake Road north of Sherwood was dug up and replacec, <br />and he was told by one of the workers that they would not <br />bec hydrostatic testing the new piece of pipe, and he feels <br />that without hydrostatic testing, there is no way to <br />guarantee what pressure the line will take or at what <br />point it would fail. He added that in his past <br />experience, he has seen x -rayed lines fail under <br />hydrostatic testing. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied it was his under- <br />standing that they would be retesting the line this <br />summer, but he could not guarantee it would be done <br />before the line was reopened. <br />2.
