Mounds View City Council February 9, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley advised the Council had <br />received a memo from Finance Director Brager last week <br />at their agenda session, and he briefly reviewed that <br />memo regarding the purchase of a letter quality printer <br />for the Parks and Recreation Department. He explained <br />they would not be purchasing an extra printer, but <br />would be purchasing it earlier than planned. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to approve the purchase <br />of a Diablo printer, at a cost of $2,490.00, to be <br />financed as outlined in Finance Director Brager's memo <br />of February 4, 1987, to the Council. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Thatcher reported approvals had been <br />received from the Rice Creek Watershed District, DNR <br />and Army Corps of Engineers for the repair work to be <br />done on Judicial Ditch #1, Branch #5, so they will <br />now proceed with the project. He reported that last <br />week Staff had mailed notices to the property owners <br />adjacent to the ditch, and the trees had been marked <br />to either be removed or saved, and the removal will <br />begin on February 10. <br />Director Thatcher reported that Gunner Isberg has <br />declined to do the update of the comprehensive land <br />use plan that the Council had authorized him to do, <br />due to his present work commitments. He stated he <br />discussed that with the Planning Commission, and <br />they have no one else in mind to do the study, and <br />requested Council direction on the matter. <br />Mayor Linke stated they would discuss it in detail <br />at the next agenda session. <br />Councilmember Hankner pointed out that Wuornos and <br />Associates was used originally. <br />Page Three <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained Staff would like to 9. Discussion on <br />get the date for Clean -Up Day established, so it can be Clean -Up Day <br />in the next newsletter, which will be going to Date <br />the printer later this week. He stated that considering <br />the dates of Mother's Day and the fishing opener, he <br />would recommend either Saturday, April 25 or Saturday, <br />May 2. <br />It was the concensus of the Council to set the date for <br />Saturday, May 2, 1987. <br />10.
