Tobias as building <br />official for the City, and he reviewed his memo <br />of April 23, 1987 to the Council. <br />Councilmember Quick asked just what a building <br />official does. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that under <br />State statute, he is charged with the enforcement <br />of all building codes, and will make rulings with <br />respect to compliance and will make code interpre- <br />tations. He will be the building inspector, fire <br />inspector, and supervise the housing inspector, <br />and work with Staff on zoning issues. <br />Councilmember Hankner asked if Mr. Tobias had had <br />an opportunity to meet with other staff. <br />Motion Carried <br />6.
