Mounds View City Council May 11, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />k 'Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the City of New <br />Brighton had problems keeping up with water demand <br />over the weekend, and hooked into Mounds View's <br />system and used approximately 5 million gallons. He <br />added that Mounds View did not have problems keeping <br />up, and well #1 should be back in operation by next <br />weekend. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had received <br />a phone call from Dave Shupe, 2186 Lambert, who <br />would like to have a live band play in his yard for <br />a wedding reception later in the summer, from 4 to <br />8 PM, and wanting to know if it was alright. <br />It was the concensus of the Council that unless a <br />nuisance occurs, it was alright, and they do <br />appreciate him contacting the City in advance. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported the reconstruction <br />of Long Lake Road has been on the county's list of <br />improvements for a long time, and it is now scheduled <br />as a priority B for 1988 -89, and they would like <br />Williams Pipeline to replace the pipe before <br />construction begins. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the memo from <br />Public Works Foreman Rose regarding necessary repair <br />work to the air conditioning system at City Hall, <br />and reviewed the two bids received to do the work. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Quick to approve the proposal <br />from Schwab-Vollhaber, Inc. to make the necessary <br />repairs to the air conditioning system, at a cost <br />not to exceed $2,950.00, with the funds to come <br />from the City Hall repair account. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke asked that they also look at the heating <br />system and overall capacity of the air conditioning <br />system, as so many problems have been experienced. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had received <br />an application from Super America too late for place- <br />ment on the consent agenda, but they would like <br />approval of a license for gas sales and non- intoxi- <br />cating off -sale liquor. He added they have supplied <br />all the necessary information and bonds. <br />
