Mounds View City Council June 22, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting Page Twelve <br />+Attorney Meyers updated the Council on the status of <br />the removal of the section of pipeline from the State <br />to Neighborville, IL for inspection by consultants <br />working for the Williams Pipeline Company. He stated <br />it will be returned to the City when they are finished, <br />and a complete inventory and photos were taken. It is <br />to be returned by August 15, and they expect it to be <br />in the same shape as when it left the City. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. Councilmember <br />Blanchard <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. Councilmember <br />Wuori <br />Mayor Linke had no report. Mayor Linke <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the request <br />from the Police Chief to purchase another police <br />vehicle to replace the one recently totaled. He <br />explained there are no new 1987 vehicles on the <br />market and it is too early to order a 1988, so <br />they are requesting approval for the purchase of <br />a used 1985 vehicle. <br />Motion /second: Blanchard /Linke to authorize the <br />Police Department to purchase a 1985 Chevrolet <br />from Iten Chevrolet for the amount of $8,187.00, <br />using funds received from the insurance company <br />and the balance to come from account 100 200 -4010. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported a letter had <br />been received from Burger King, at 2651 County <br />Road I, requesting approval of their restaurant <br />license. <br />Motion /Second: Quick Wuori to approve the <br />restaurant license for Burger King and have Staff <br />contact them and ask them to be ever vigilent on <br />the amount of trash they generate in the City. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />22.
